Background:
I started out as a member of the Fairlie group in 2008 as a summer student for a few months. Im currently under a scholarship under the Malaysian government and completing my honours program under the supervision of David Fairlie and Jacky Suen.
Research interest:
I am particularly interested in the ability of microarray experiments to profile global gene expression upon cell stimulation. I am currently using microarray to study the behaviour of macrophages, an important immune cell when activated by human complement protein C3a. Among the techniques that i will be doing are cell culture, PCR, qRT-PCR, western blot, calcium assay and ELISA.
