I got my bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Yanbian University, China. I have completed all basic subjects on chemistry including biochemistry and analytical chemistry, inorganic and organic chemistry. My Bachelor ‘s project is “Study of the performance of Microbial Fuel Cell treating furfural wastewater”. We constructed microbial fuel cell based on furfural wastewater. And analysed the anode microbial community using high-throughput sequencing technology. Six highly active anaerobic bacteria were identified from the anode chamber solution. Then I got my master’s degree in Biology and Medicine from Zhengzhou University, China. My master’s research project was focused on how to use Plant Protein suppress human tumors growth through oncogene MYC. I am currently pursuing my PhD degree in Prof. Fairlie’s group at The University of Queensland. In the first year, my research project is to investigate the role of MYC in cancer and develop potential therapeutic strategies targeting MYC.
