I completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) with major in chemistry at UQ and continue my PhD in Fairlie group. My main interests are in Organic chemistry and Drug discovery.
Under supervision of Dr. Jeffrey Mak and Prof. David Fairlie, my PhD project focuses on computational design and synthesizing potent small molecules to explore HDAC7. This enzyme is associated with numerous proteins, cell types and being the underline of many diseases including cancer and inflammatory. We expect a selective and potent HDAC7 inhibitor would allow the precise mechanism of HDAC7 in these diseases to be investigated.
After my research, I nurture my creative mind by making photos, cooking, and drawing in leisure time.
